‘UK Disneyland’ to open …… in 2022

Don’t get too excited and start packing your bags just yet as it’s not due to open for over 5 years, however, thanks to Paramount, plans are in place for the UK to get our very own ‘Disneyland’.

Planned for construction in Dartford, Kent, it will feature attractions inspired by some of best Paramount movies (rides are to confirmed, but some of the movies they’ve been involved in include Iron Man, Mission Impossible, Star Trek into Darkness,  Footloose, Braveheart ….. and many many more).

Alongside these attractions, the park will also include rides inspired by BBC Worldwide & Aardman Animations   (think Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run …..  – although we’ll have to wait to see what the final line-up of attractions will be).  As with all the major theme parks, there will also be restaurants, shops, a hotel and a theatre.

Initial information suggests the daily programme will include an afternoon carnival / procession and evening shows, however be prepared to pay accordingly with a family ticket costing over £50.

Oh …. one final point, it’s still awaiting government approval of the plans ….. let’s hope it gets the green light and we can start packing our bags … quite soon.
