Here at The Kidology Files, we were very sorry to hear of the death of Gordon Murray, creator of the Trumpton, Chigley and Camberwick Green shows from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.
We remember watching them at the same age our children are now which makes it more poignant.
All shows are remembered fondly and also are known for new ideas bought to children’s TV at the time – Camberwick Green, made using stop-motion animation, was the first children’s show to be aired in colour on the BBC.
